The 3rd Vistula Sounds International Vocal Festival & Competition was held on 13-17 August 2024 in Ciechocinek. This unique event combines high-quality musical entertainment, stage and vocal performance education, as well as intercultural education coupled with sightseeing focused on the promotion of the city of Ciechocinek, the region of Kuyavia and Pomerania, and Poland among the younger generations of Poles and foreign guests.
On the 5th day of the Festival, on August 17, 2024, a ceremonial Gala Concert took place in the "Park Zdrojowy", summarizing the competitions of participants in the International and Polish Song Contests. A total of 2 Grand Prix awards, 3 Special Awards and Honorable Mentions were awarded. In addition, the Festival included 2 competitions, 3 concerts, 3 guided day trips promoting Ciechocinek, Toruń and Bydgoszcz, 2 cultural exchange meetings, and 2 vocal workshops led by international jury. The competitions were attended by 135 participants from 18 countries, including India, Vietnam, Armenia, Libya and Brazil. 155 competition performances were assessed by an international jury consisting of 13 people from 8 countries. The Opening Ceremony on 13.08.2024 at the Summer Theatre was dedicated to the First Lady of Polish Song, Ms. Irena Santor, who was the Honorary Guest of Vistula Sounds for 5 days. The Artist's 90th anniversary had a unique character, because during this concert, songs from the Jubilarian's repertoire were performed in new arrangements by Polish and foreign stars, singing songs translated into foreign languages and in Polish.
